Pryor Scrapbook Dr. Joe, 1986

Carol L. Lee, Superintendent February 24, 1986 Dr. Joseph E. Pryor Harding University Station A Searcy, Arkansas 72143 Dear Joe: P. 0. Box 556 ° Phone 354-2428 Planning, editing, supervising, compiling, securing advertising etc. for the PETIT JEAN is an enormous task. But, it is a wonderful experience for a sincere group that wants to do a good job of it. I shall always appreciate Martha Starnes, Ruby Lowery Stapelton and many others with whom I was associated in producing the 1935 PETIT JEAN, Harding's first from the Searcy campus. One learns a gread deal in the process, too. I am grateful for the opportunity that came my way to serve as the business manager. Eunice McNeelis and Jack Austin were splendid fellow helpers in securing advertising. Miss Ruby was a wonderful faculty sponsor and helped all of us so very much. I still treasure pleasant memories of our assoc-– iation in that year. I have admired your good work as faculty sponsor for so many years. Along with the many editors and other people involved you have guided young people to do their best in producing quality yearbooks. I'm sure your've weathered many frustrations but you maintained your calm and quiet personality. It is a real pleasure to join with many others in honoring you at this time· for your dedicated service in such a noble work. Also, I want to include your beloved companion, Bessie Mae, who has given you such stedfast and loyal support. May God bless you both. Rachel and I cherish your friendship and wish you the best in your future efforts.
