Pryor Scrapbook Dr. Joe, 1986

Dr. Joe Pryor PETIT JEAN REUNION Box 230 Harding University Searcy, AR 72143 Dear Dr. Joe, March 18, 1986 Rt. 1, Box 652 Adamsville, TN 38310 Twenty-nine years ago? Impossible! But that's how long it has been, yet after all that time and very little con– tact since, I find myself "remembering" quite often. You were always the guiding force and inspiration as far as I am concerned. Always there and eager to provide whatever necessary in all things, but especially those things con– nected with the P.J. So very many times I saw dead-ends and blind alleys open up after a subtle suggestion or two by you. My fondest memories of Harding are "P.J." connected--late late sessions in the P.J. office, darkroom successes (and failures), dinner at the Pryors' for my wife and I. And, of course, the culmination of months of effort in our trip to Oklahoma City and Semco Color Press for the finishing touches. One of those "touches" was the night I short– sheeted your bed at the motel--while that didn't make the P .J. 's pages, I think we all remember it, especially you. To few times do we show proper appreciation for those who smoothed the road for us but I do want you to know I appre– ciate all the time and interest you invested in me. Perhaps the best way to say it is that when I recall Harding, The P . J . , o r Christian Education I a 1way s t h i n k o f '' Dr . J o e 11 first. For so many years you have epitomized all that is good to so very many of us. p. s. Not sure about Saturday--won 1 t know until sometime Fr i day, but if possible I'll be there.
