Pryor Scrapbook Dr. Joe, 1986
Bobby (11), and David (9). We have been in Rochester and I have been working for Kodak since the spring of 1970. Laurie is . finishing her sophomore year in high school and is already looking around at colleges. She spent a week at Harding last summer at the high school week . She really liked Harding, but she told us she couldn't possibly go there--"it was so hot and sticky it frizzed my hair" . Oh the troubles of youth! Laurie is interested in drama and chorus and has had parts in two high school plays. The word "shy" is not in her vocabulary . It has facinated us to watch her grow . Bobby is our sportsman--if it bounces he will play with it. He ' s already accumulated more trophies than I ever did. Actually, he overdid it a bit. He has developed a knee problem that has kept him out of sports since September, and the doctor has told him that he must rest the knee or suffer the consequences. But trying to keep Bobby inactive is somewhat like nailing Jello to a tree! David is quieter and less active . We'd like to give him a bit of Bobby's energy. But he really enjoys building things and working with his hands. He had meningitis shortly after birth. There have been some lasting effects that we hope he will grow out of. He is doing well in school so we are optimistic. But he has difficulty interracting with his peers and he really prefers to be alone . Besides our current status as taxi cab drivers , our lives revolve around church and Camp Hunt. You probably know Camp Hunt is the christian camp where Karin and I met 22 years ago . I have been treasurer for the past 10 years and this past September I became president of the Board of Directors. Between that and work (Kodak has me traveling quite a bit outside the country), I sometimes feel life is flying by and I 'm not accomplishing many of the things I'd like to do. I'm sure there will be slower days in the future, but I'm not sure just when. I know you understand the feeling. Dr. Joe, its been so good to spend a few minutes with you. We wish you and your family God 's richest blessings, and maybe we will be seeing you in a very few years when we are bringing our children to school. We love you, Pat and Karin
