G-25-L Dr. Joseph Pryor Dean 3000 ONE SHELL PLAZA HOUSTON, TEXAS 77002 Harding University Searcy Arkansas 72143 Dear Dr. Joe: October 7, 1982. I was saddened to learn that you will . be retiring as Dean at the conclusion of this academic year. It is a rare man indeed who, despite the responsibilities of a position like yours, is willing and welcomes the opportunity to take time to spend with a . former student like myself who arrives for an unannounced visit. Your encouragement and listening ear during those times was of in– valuable assistance in helping me keep plugging away in graduate school and law school. While many others also deserve credit, I would be remiss if I did not acknowledge the excellent preparation I received at Harding for graduate and law school -. I well remember arriving at Duke and wondering whether I would be adequately prepared to compete with . my peers in graduate school.
