Pryor Scrapbook Dr. Joe, 1982

September 15, 5, 1982 Dr. Joseph Pryor Harding University Searcy, Arkansas 7 72143 Dear Dr. Joe, There are so many things which bring memories of Harding: a picture of the ever-popular swings , devotionals , . old West Dorm, Rhodes Field House, chapel, the lily pond, • • • on and on. People are often synonymous with different aspects of college life. Jimmy Allen is associated automatically with . Bible classes, Cecil Beck with intramurals and Dr. Joe Segraves with history. And I'm sure many, like me, associate the name . Joe Pryor with the pervasive area of academics. Its not only the fact that we had to go through your office (literally) to get in the graduation line. When we think of Dr. Joe, we think of INTELLIGENCE! One almost expects to see you in cap and gown • •• wherever! You're probably the only college basketball statistician whose records have never been challenged. You're probably alsoone of the few Academic Deans in the countrywho serves as the basketball statistician! Like so many others at H. U. , "Dr. Joe" is Harding! Its hard to think of one without thinking of the other. I will always be personally grateful to you, and many others, for the help (and mercy!) you gave me in completing my education, and having the privilege of doing so under what 1 consider the finest faculty anywhere. Fifteen years of living in the "real world" has only served to enhance that impression. In this your "retirement" year, I pray God will continue to bless you and your family toward new accomplishments for his · glory. TNT Class of '67
