Pryor Scrapbook Bessie Mae, 1984

€ • • Dear Bessie Mae, 810 Wirt Street Paragould, Arkansas 72450 October 18, 1984 I feelhonored to have a part in "honoring" you. i was a member of the Regina Club when it was very young (1949-50- 51) and enjoyed being a member. You were as young as we were and made the very best example for us of what a Regina should be. Was the club really named Regina for us or because of you? I can't think of a more queenly, virtuous woman than you and could very wel I say Regina was named for you. I was looking back at the 1950 Petit Jean and on the Regina page I read a note about our negro minstrel. That was fun. I hadn't thought of it in years. Do you remember? Thank you, Bessie Mae, for all the years of being the perfect example of Christian womanhood for so many girls and dedicating yourself and many hours to make Regina what it has always been and for what it stands. I especially appreciate your kindnesses to my mother and other fam i Iy members. My love, Lorene (Nichols) Leath
