June 7, 2008 Dear Bessie Mae: Congratulations on your 85th Birthday and the Lifetime Achievement Award from AWH you will receive on June 13th. What a blessing you have been in the life of our family, and a wonderful role model through the years. When I became Dr. Joe's secretary, you quickly adopted us into your family including us many times for Sunday lunch, Rook parties, etc., etc. You & Dr. Joe came to Shreveport on two occasions to direct the wedding for Gretchen in 1996 and for Gentry in 2000. We knew everything would be perfect with you in charge! You are in our prayers that you continue to improve from your surgery. God bless you today and always!
