Pryor Scrapbook Bessie Mae, 2008

June 6, 2008 Dear Bessiemae, Although I regret being unable to attend the events in your honor, I certainly want to take this opportunity to congratulate you on reaching this milestone and hope you enjoy it to the fullest! As you may remember, the Risinger and Pryor families have been linked for many years, since both Dr. Joe's family and my dad's family lived in Morrilton during the early years when Harding was located there. Then, of course, my parents moved to Searcy in 1955, and our families had a close association for a number of years. Mother counted you as one of her dear friends and always enjoyed working with you in AWH, showers, etc. When I entered my freshman year at Harding, it was natural that I wanted to be a Regina. I appreciated so much the example you and Dr. Joe set for us and 1 always made us feel welcome in your home. Who could forget the famous "ring ceremony"!!! I also have fond memories of the many events you hosted in your home, especially the one that meant the most to me--our wedding reception. The events of t_hat day are still a blur, since Jim and I graduated from Harding at 10:00 a.m. and got married at 4:00 p.m. ! With all this to deal with, I know mother and daddy felt blessed to have you step up and host this special time for us. Jim and I celebrated our 43rd wedding anniversary last Tuesday, June 3, and we now have been blessed with 5 precious grandchildren. We hope to pass on to them the wonderful memories we have of those years at Harding and of the special people like you who blessed us with your Christian example and tireless work to give us the spiritual guidance to stay on the right path. Once again, congratulations and thanks! Love, Linda Risinger Stanley 122 Stoney Point Drive Harvest, AL 35749 1961-65
