Pryor Scrapbook Bessie Mae, 2008

Dear Bessie Mae, April 2008 I've been blessed to have you in my life since I I was very oung. My first memories are of staying in your lovely home as a second grader - more than 50 years ago! - when my parents went to San Antonio for a week long meetin . A second vivid memory is of 'being in your Girl Scout troop and etching glasses with acid in your beautiful kitchen. We girls were also on hand as you prepared for the arrival of your children. I remember those little dre ses that were hanging in the closet awaiting Beverly Jo. Then there were college days when I was honored to be one of your Reginas and le rned under your tutelage how to be a gracious homemaker and hostess. During that time I also had the opportunity to baby si our children when you went out to a ( ' function on the arm of your hands When the time came for me to get married, you were the one to whom I turned to orchestrate my wedding preparations so that the occasion went flawlessly and the marriage h ld tight! It must have b en the harp in your living room that instilled in me the dream of one day learning to play. Now I have my own harp and take regular lesso and often think of you in mydaily preact ce. In Dr. Joe's invalid years, it was an inspiration to witness your care for him. You made sure that he was present for every important campus and church function. You are a beautiful woman and you've touched coun lives with your life of grace and faith. I'm glad to be counted among those inspired by your example. With Love, Mary Ethel (Bales) Gale 1965 / I/
