' Dear Bessie Ma , It is so hard for me to share just one special memory of you. Whether I was cleaning your house, learning to iron lace tablecloths, helping you prepare for a garage sale, picking tomatoes from your garden, watching the hummingbirds outside your window or clearing out your attic - I never ceased to enjoy the moments I spent with you. I was always enchanted by the stories of your travels, but I especially loved to hear about the time you spent at Harding and your courtship with Dr. Joe. Thank you for being such a positive role model in the lives of so many women. I thi k of you often and thank God for blessing me with the opportunity to know you.
