Pryor Scrapbook Bessie Mae, 2008

Dear Bessie Mae, You were the subject of delighted conversation last night and this mo rning around my family's dinner and breakfast tables. The reason--"Bessie Mae rolls" as we call them. You have been famous as long as I can remember for your wonderful rolls (and many other things, too!), and you were grac ious enough to allow my mother, Ruth Atteberry, to learn your secrets befo re she left Searcy long, long ago. My mother has treated us to "Bessie Mae ro lls" for special occasions ever since, and some time ago she shared the sec rets with me. Now, my children and grandchildren all delight in "Bessie M ae rolls" when we gather for special occasions. Last night we had a famil y dinner for thirteen and everyone raved about our delicious "Bessie M ae rolls". This morning we enjoyed freshly baked "Bessie Mae sweet roll s". Our family know and love the rolls, but they also have heard stories of what kind and good friends you and Dr. Joe were to us and to others who encountered you over the years. I was honored to be part of Regina social club with you as our dedicated sponsor; you were a significant part of that experience. I still treasure my Regina silver tray and use it when the occasion allows. Thank you for your friendship to our family and for y our continuing legacy that we continue to celebrate on our most special of occasions. Happy Birthday! With love, Janice Atteberry Sticka 76 Crooked Creek Drive Yorkville, IL 60560 (630) 553-034 mygarden76@sbcglobal.net 1953-1970 (We moved to Searcy when I was in second grade, and I m oved away several years after I graduated from Harding.)
