!Catherine Angel weds Miss Catherine Joy Angel; I daughter (jf Mr. and Mrs . Carthel Mac Angel, and Joseph Anthony Malnar, whose parents are Mr. and Mrs. Joe Malnar,· were united in marriage at 7:30 p .m . on Thanksgiving , November ~ , at the home of the bride. Dr. J .D. Bales performed the double ring candlelight ceremony as the couple stood at the fireplace in the· den. On the mantle were baskets of silk flowers and eucalyptus, and twin candle trees holding ivory candles were placed .at each side. 'Brass baskets of magnolia leaves were used on the hearth. Mrs. Dennis Organ provid– ed a program of pre-nuptial music at the piano and also played "I Pledge All My Love" for the processional. Miss Sue Gattinger of For– rest City, cousin of the bride, was soloist. The bride entered on the arm of her father, who gave her in marriage. She wore a gown of candlelight ~ganza 9ver taffeta. A _µeep yok~u ml the fitted bodice was edged! with a wide ruffle of C~ntil-· ly lace. Seed pe~rl~ acc~nte<l; the.lace yoke and matching! lace edged the Bishop sleeves. The bouffant skirt was fashioned 'with a ruffle flounce of accordion -plea~ and a trim of matching Chantilly lace ending in a chapel train. Her com– plementing mantilla veil\ was edged in lace. Her only jewelry was pear~ earrings, a gift of the groom and she carried a crescent oE deep sea green silk zinnias and sienna rose azaleas with pearl loops interwoven witq the gypsophelia. The ribbon bows were of satin and lace. · Miss Lisa Green was the bride's attendant. She wore a gown of deep sea gree~ velvet with a jabot of ec"– lace. Matching lace edged the long, fitted sleeves. She ·carried an arm bouquet of silk roses and zinnias in mat~ ching colors of the bride's bouquet. The groom's father ser,v~ as bes.t man·. The nien-wore silk roses on the lapel of them black tuxedos. Bart and David Angel, brothers of the bride, placed the white aisle runner before the entrance of the bride. Mrs. Jack Hogg of Little Rock greeted the wedding guests at the entrance, which was marked with a grape vine wreath with a pair of white doves and a satin bow used as accents. A string of pearls hung from the arrangement. Mrs. Lan– ny Throckmorton, sister of the bridegroom, attended the guest registry at an anti– que chest in the foyer. Mrs. Angel chose for. her daughter's wedding a gown of Chianti chiffon over satin. Mrs. Malnar wore a gown of turquoise chiffon. Their cor– sages were deep sea green roses. Honor guests were Mr. and Mrs. Carthel Angel, grand– parents of the bride, and Mrs. W.A. Mcclard of Kensett, great-grandmother · of the bride. Mrs. Angel wore the ensemble she had also worn at the wedding of her son, the bride's father. ·A reception was held im– mediately following the ceremony. The dining table was overlaid w it h candlelight taffeta and lace. Nosegays of silk flowers ~nd bows were tied at the draped points of the overlay. Center– ing the table was a grouping of crystal candleholders with candlelight tapers on a mir– ror base. Clusters of grapes, flowers and garlands of ivy were entwined in the display. Silk flowers were placed atop the tiered bride's cake frosted in candlelight. Frosted punch was served from a silver bowl. A fruit tree was used on the table along with trays 9f .hors doeuvres .
