I Dr. H~~ ry .. arr~ r Leav es For Nigerian Mission Dr. Henry Farra r , who attended Harding College from 1944 to 1947, will be leaving for Nigeria July 21, where he will work as e1 medical missionary . While attending Harding Dr. Farrar was a laboratory assistant for Dr. J ack Wood Sears. He attended the University of Tennessee at Knoxville where he r eceived his B.A. and M.S. degrees. His major sub– ject was parasitology and his minor was chemistry. At UT he was a member of Phi Kappa Phi honorary fraternity. Dr. Farrar attended t h e School of Medicine of the University of Tennessee, Memphis from 1950 to 1954. He received the M.D. degree in March, 1954. His internship was at Tampa Municipal Hospital, Tampa, F la. and he served wit h the U. S. Pu blic Health Service from 1955 to 1957. Dr . Farrar's surgical residency was at Harlan, ~ Y- Memorial Hospital from 1957 to 1960 and at City Memorial Hos– pital, Winston-Salem, N. C. from 1960 to H in?. Since July, 1962, Dr. Farrar has been on the surgical staff of VA H o s p i t a l, Johnson City, Te~. He is Board Eligible for the American Board of Surgery and a Candidat e m e m b e r of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Farrar W. Jt.
