Seawel of Birmingham, Alabama, were married at 4 p.m., Friday, March 9 at the College Church of Christ. An archway entwined with greenery fqrmed the focal point at the altar. Twin candle trees and baskets of spring flowers were used at each side. A unity candle completed the setting. The pews were marked with hurricane lamps tied with blue satin bows. Music was provided by the charge. The fitted bodice was accented with cluny lace and the full bell skirt was . bordered in double bands of lace. The winged watteau train,· formed' of-cluny lace, flowed to chapel length. Her full 'length veil of lace was · 1 attache~ to a Juliet cap and . she carried a bouquet of silk ~ 1 daisies and carnations in I shades of yellow and blue. Libby Cochran of Hobbs, N. M. was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Cheryl Picker and Roxy Picker, sisters-in-law of the bride, and Katy Seawel, sister of the groom. Their gowns of blue fox qiana were designed with'a gathered bodice and a rounded neckline. The full sleeves were three-quarter length. A crushed belt cin– ched the waist. They carried daisies and carnations. used on the round tables. Mrs. Picker chose for her daughter's wedding a gown of patterned chiffon in earth tones. A matching capelet was secured with a button at the neck. Mrs. Morris wore a gown in pastel shades of chiffon. Their corsages were white gl~melias. .. , used as a focal point. The four-layered wedding cake, made by Mrs. Annette Dalton, was decorated with pastel yellow and blu daisi es. A flowing fountain w.as placed in the center o th e confection. Misses Jana Altman and Nita Allen served the cake. Miss Cindy Allen ·poured the yello punch. The groom's father served as best man. Cliff Seawel of Maynard, grandparents of the groom, and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Picker of St. James, Missouri, and Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Johnson of West Monroe, Louisiana, grand– parents of the bride. Mr. Seawel's grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Seawel of Maynard, Arkansas, and' the late Mr. and Mrs. Tom C. Morris of Tuscumbia, Alabama. Registering the guests at two tablestin the foyer were Misses Jana Altman and Cincly Allen. Matching pewt~ candle.sticks were Mrs. Raymond Muncy directed the wedding and the reception, which was held in the fellowship room. The bride's table was overlaid with white lace over · blue taffeta. An arrangement of flowers and a silver candelabra were Ike Hamilton, Mrs. Evan Ulrey·, Mrs. Harold Norwood -and Mrs. Wayne Kellar. When the couple left for a trip, the bride wore a dress that matched those worn by the bridesmaids. Mr. and Mrs. Seawel will be at home on Moore Avenu~ UP9n their return .
