The show wasopentoU. · public from 2 until 8 in the afternoon. During these hours a large number of garden club members and other interested people enjoyed the displays. The show was divided into two sections - Artistic which includ– ed the 'flower arrange~ents and I the horticulture which included individual specimens and growing pot plants. 1 "'The theme for this years show , was ''Times to Remember". The top five awards were won by Mrs. Clyde Burkett, Mrs. J .. eola f Pearce, Mrs. Joe Pryor andMrs.· c. c. Vandiver. Texas. Mrs. B. E. Ovennan of u,ngview, Texas, and Mrs. Jean Cox of Searcy are the ·grandparents of Mr. Co~. Harding· Academy ' and is attending Harding College where he is majoring in accounting. The bride-elect graduated from Hope High School and received a Bachelor of Ar.ts degree in Elementary Education from Harding College in May, 1978. Mrs. Burkett of the Red Bud Garden Club won the award of Merit which is awarded to the horticulture exhibit judged as the finest in the- entire horticulture section. Mr s. Pryor won the Sweep. stakes award in the Artistic Di. vision for havuw accumulated the highest number of points- of any exhibitor in this division.
