Given in maa-riage by her father, the bride wore a floor-length gown of silk or– ganza over peau de soie aecented with motifs of Alen– con lace a•od seed peads. The dress was fashioned on Em– pire lines with a bateau 1 neckline, long sleeves ~d A-'line skirt. The chapel tram was ,attached .at the shoulder with a rounded yoke and tailored bows, and ber bead- dress was a mantilla of Brussels lace. Her flowers I were white ,roses and stepha- notis. On the high school level Dr. Ganus developed the Semi– nars on Americanism for Youth which included in the summer of 1964 some 2,000 outstanding high school students. Dr. Ganus is a member of ' the Southern Historical Associa– tion, Alpha Chi, American His– torical Association, Arkansas ,Education Association, P h i Alpha Theta and other profes– sional organizations. He serves on the Board of Directors of the Boy Scouts of C e n t r a I Arkansas. Dr. Ganus' travels have taken him to Guatemala, Mexi– co, Canada, England, France, Germany, Italy, Yugoslavia , Holland, Belgium, Ireland, Switzerland, Austria and Scot- · land for on-the-spot studies of conditions, social and political conditions. In 1962 he made a two-week trip to Panama, Ecua dor, Colombia, Venezuela, Bra– zil, Uruguay, Chile and Ar– gentina.
