Along with the regular initia– tion activities a joint devotional and roller skatingparty during pledge week created excitement for the new pledge·. Feelings of unity were fostered before the Christmas break during a bowling party held at Bison Lanes late in the semester Alpha Tau participated successfuly in clubsports taking the A team runner-up position and the B team championship in soft– ball. B team runners-up in foot– ball they also captured two firsts, two seconds and one third in vol– leyball Along being active in sports, GATA had softball, vol– leyball and basketball teams. They also hosted a Halloween hayride and Christmas party. Fromtime to time they planned devos with other women'sclubs and in keeping with tradition, they organized Harding's Winter Festival. A Serviceproject that spanned both semesters wasshoppingfor residents at Leisure Lodge. After the social worker collected the money for item needed, GATA girls purchased the articles in town. During their visit to the home. they distributed the articles to the residents
