The six freshmen met this year and in October started going to B-Rock on Wednesday nights tor a devotional before they went their separate ways for home Bible studies. They continued this weekly devotional throughout the year. "It is amazing to think that such close friendships could arise so quickly," Ross said. "Traditions don't take long to form either." Friendships and traditions are formed yearin and year-out at Harding. Most students agreed that these friendships will last a lifetime. The group hopes to continue the Wednesday night devotional until they graduate. "The friendships at Harding are like none I've ever had before because, tor the first time, all of my friends have Christ in common," sophomore Melanie Grady said. "It's so great because before I came to Harding the only Christian friends I had were at my church. Now it seems that all of my friends are strong Christian people. We're heading in the same direction. That automatically gives us a strong bond. It's so great because I know that my friends here are trying to help me get to heaven." William Graves-Springfield, Va.
