Galaxy 1965-73

By Martha Townsend Miss Stevie Green of Ju Go Ju social club strolled across the Lily Pool Saturday afternoon to be crowned the Queen of May. She walked down a path lined with club representatives to the white gazebo where President Clifton Ganus proclaimed her queen. With crown on head and bou– quet Jn arms, Miss GTeen reigned over the finale of May Day, the traditional pageantry of the May pole winding. Miss Green w;as selected by the student body from l!i repre– sentatives of women's clubs to be. a candidate for May Queen. The other finalists were Carolyn Dell, Tri-Kappa and Vicki Wheat, Omega Phi. She is a senior English major from Orange, Tex. Her minor is Bible. She has served as vice president of the Student AS– sociation and is the club queen of Galaxy and is a member of Gold Key and American Studies. She was the 1970 P.ltit J ean Queen and sophomore Home– coming representative. S h e served the S.A. as secretary last year.
