Miss Burton is a French ma– jor and journalism minor from Atlanta, Ga. and a member of the Tri-Kappa social club. Tay– lor is an accounting major from Florence, Ala. and a member of Galaxy social club. The du o headed this year's Bison. Sophomore Martha Townsend won the Most Improved plaque and Archie Walker wen the Best Freshman journalist plaque in the intra-staff competition judged by the editors. News editor Carol Garrett was· awarded the Fifth Column Award for he"r journalistic ef– forts of the year. Also inducted into the Order- of the Fifth Col– umn were senior staff members Nancy McCluggage , MariLynn Mclnteer, Susan Woods and Phil Johnson.
